What's best during the holidays than a house full of Christmas smells. It gets you ready for Christmas and it changes you mood to the best you could ever have! So get ready and make this amazing potpourri that will lift up your spirit.

There are two kinds of potpourri you could make. First one the dried one that will make any room in your house smell fantastic every day and the stove-top potpourri that will smell for as long as you simmering it on your stove-top.

Τι καλύτερο κατά την διάρκεια των εορτών από ένα σπίτι γεμάτο με Χριστουγεννιάτικες μυρωδιές. Σε προετοιμάζει για τα Χριστούγεννα και σε αλλάζει στην καλύτερη διάθεση σου! Οπότε ετοιμάσου και φτιάξε το καταπληκτικό ποτ-πουρί που θα σου φτιάξει τη διάθεση.

Υπάρχουν δύο ειδών ποτ-πουρί που μπορείτε να φτιάξετε. Το πρώτο είναι το αποξηραμένο που θα κάνει το σπίτι σας να μοσχοβολάει κάθε μέρα και το ποτ-πουρί που για όσο σιγοβράζετε στο μάτι της κουζίνας σας θα μυρίζει.

Dried potpourri - Αποξηραμένο ποτ-πουρί

The process of drying fruit is simple. Citrus fruits like oranges, lemons and limes are perfect for potpourri because they retain their shape and color when dried.

Cut citrus fruits into 1/8"-think slices.
Place fruit slices on a wire rack.
Heat at 200 F degrees for about two hours, turning the fruit slices every half hour. Leave the over door open so moisture can escape.
If the fruit is not completely dry after two hours, keep heating in 30 minute increments, checking to make sure that the fruit doesn't burn.

Note: Avoid drying fruits like peaches and apricots, which are too moist and tend to be sticky when dehydrated.

Η διαδικασία της αποξήρανσης φρούτων είναι απλή. Τα εσπεριδοειδή φρούτα όπως τα πορτοκάλια, λεμόνια και λάιμ είναι ότι πρέπει για ποτ-πουρί επειδή το σχήμα τους και το χρώμα τους δεν χαλάει ενώ αποξηραίνονται.

Κόψτε τα φρούτα σε φέτες των 0.3 εκατοστών σε πάχος.
Τοποθετήστε τις φέτες σε σχάρα.
Ανοίξτε τον φούρνο στους 90 με 100 βαθμούς Κελσίου και αφήστε τα φρούτα για περίπου δύο ώρες, αλλάξτε πλευρά τα φρούτα κάθε μισή ώρα. Όταν θα είναι έτοιμα αφήστε τα στο φούρνο με την πόρτα μισάνοιχτη ώστε να φύγει η υγρασία.
Εάν τα φρούτα δεν έχουν στεγνώσει μετά από δύο ώρες, συνεχίστε να τα ψήνετε στο φούρνο με προσαυξήσεις της μισής ώρας, τσεκάροντας μην καούνε.

Σημείωση: Αποφύγετε να αποξηράνετε φρούτα όπως ροδάκινα και βερίκοκα, τα οποία περιέχουν πολύ υγρασία και συνηθίζουν να κολλάνε όταν αποξηραίνονται.

Citrus rinds and other fruit peels add texture to your potpourri. So don't throw them away, use them! The process is the same as with the fruit slices.

Peel your fruit with a sharp knife or wide vegetable peeler. Keep the rinds in long ribbons if you can. the long peels twist dramatically as they dry.
Place fruit peels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and heat in a 200 F degree oven for about two hours, turning them over every half an hour.
If the fruit still has leaves attached, add those to the baking sheet for drying as well.

Οι φλούδες των φρούτων προσθέτουν υφή στο ποτ-πουρί σας. Οπότε μην τα πετάξετε, χρησιμοποιήστε τα! Η διαδικασία είναι η ίδια με τις φέτες φρούτων.

Ξεφλουδίστε τα φρούτα με ένα κοφτερό μαχαίρι ή τον αποφλοιωτή λαχανικών. Κρατήστε τις φλούδες σε μακριές λωρίδες εάν μπορείτε, οι μακριές φλούδες γυρίζουν δραματικά όσο αποξηραίνονται.
Τοποθετήστε τις φλούδες σε ένα ταψί με λαδόκολλα, ο φούρνος πρέπει να είναι στους 90 με 100 βαθμούς Κελσίου και να τα ψήσετε για 2 ώρες περίπου, γυρίζοντας κάθε μισή ώρα πλευρά.
Εάν τα φρούτα σας έχουν ακόμη φύλλα τοποθετήστε τα και αυτά για αποξήρανση.

Select spices that will complement the fruit in your potpourri. For example, cinnamon stickes and whole cloves are a must! You can also experiment with herbs like rosemary and thyme, which ass a savory element to the sweeter smelling fruit. Ground cinnamon powder coats the entire mixture in a delicious scent. You can add essential oils made from fruit extracts, like lime oil, to enhance the fragnance.

Επιλέξτε μπαχαρικά που θα συμπληρώνουν τα φρούτα στο ποτ-πουρί σας. Για παράδειγμα, τα ξυλάκια κανέλας και γαρύφαλλα είναι απαραίτητα! Μπορείτε να πειραματιστείτε με βότανα όπως δεντρολίβανο και θυμάρι, που προσθέτουν το αλμυρό στοιχείο στα γλυκά αρωματικά φρούτα. Η σκόνη κανέλας σκεπάζει όλο το μείγμα σε μία υπέροχη μυρωδιά. Μπορείτε να προσθέσετε αρωματικά έλαια φρούτων, όπως έλαιο λάιμ, για να ενισχύσετε το άρωμά του.

After tou have gathered all your ingredients, place them in a plastic ziplock bag. Shake the bag to evenly distribute the spices, herbs and essential oils. Allow the potpourri to sit in the bag overnight to bring out the scents. Dried fruit potpourri often has trace elements of moisture, so keeping it in a closed bag for a long period of time is not recommended.

Αφού τα έχετε συγκεντρώσει όλα τα υλικά, τοποθετήστε τα όλα σε μία πλαστική σακούλα που κλείνει. Ανακινήστε την σακούλα για να πάνε τα μπαχαρικά, βότανα ή έλαια παντού. Αφήστε το μείγμα στην σακούλα όλο το βράδυ για να αναδειχθούν όλα τα αρώματα. Μην αφήσετε την σακούλα κλειστή για πολύ καιρό γιατί τα ποτ-πουρί φρούτων συνηθίζουν να συγκρατούν υγρασία.

Stove-top potpourri - Ποτ-πουρί της στιγμής

There are two ways of stove-top potpourri. The first one is getting a little extra life out of your dried potpourri by using the stove-top method before disposing of it. Boil two cups of water, pour in the potpouri and reduce to a simmer. The second and fastest way is simply gathering your selected fruit, herbs, spices and oils and pour them into boiling (two cups) water and let it simmer. Either way your house will smell like Christmas!!!! This is a beautiful and easy DIY gifts for a person that loves a warm and Christmas smelling house. Just pour the dried or fresh fruit mixture into a a mason jar with a ribbon and a cute card with instructions!

Υπάρχουν δύο τρόποι για το ποτ-πουρί της στιγμής. Με το πρώτο κερδίζετε λίγο παραπάνω ζωή από το αποξηραμένο ποτ-πουρί πριν το πετάξετε. Βράζετε δύο κούπες νερό, βάζετε το ποτ-πουρί σας στο νερό και το χαμηλώνετε να σιγοβράζει. Ο δεύτερος και πιο γρήγορος τρόπος είναι απλά να συγκεντρώσετε τα επιλεγμένα φρούτα, μπαχαρικά, βότανα και έλαια και να τα ρίξετε στο νερό που βράζει (δύο κούπες) και να το αφήσετε να σιγοβράζει. Με οποιοδήποτε τρόπο το σπίτι σας θα μυρίζει σαν Χριστούγεννα!!! Το ποτ-πουρί είναι και ένα όμορφο και εύκολο DIY δώρο για ένα άτομο που λατρεύει το σπίτι του να μυρίζει ζεστασιά και Χριστούγεννα. Απλά τοποθετήστε το μείγμα των αποξηραμένων ή φρέσκων φρούτων σε ένα βαζάκι με μία κορδέλα και μια γλυκιά καρτούλα με τις οδηγίες!

Σπιτικά burgers

These burgers are a success every time!!!! Delicious and easy!!! You just need some patience and when you try it you'll make it more than once!!!

Αυτά τα burgers κάθε φορά που τα φτιάχνω είναι επιτυχία!!!! Πεντανόστιμα και πανεύκολα!! Λίγη υπομονή να έχετε και μόλις τα δοκιμάσετε θα θέλετε να τα φτιάχνετε συνέχεια!!!

For the construction of the burgers you'll need:
Για την συναρμολόγηση των burgers χρειάζεστε:

2 burger buns - 2 Ψωμάκια για burger

2 big burgers - 2 μεγάλα μπιφτέκια

2 pieces of lettuce - 2 φύλλα μαρουλιού

2-4 fried bacon slices - 2-4 φέτες μπέικον τηγανισμένο

2-4 cheddar slices - 2 με 4 φέτες τυρί cheddar

2 tomato slices - 2 φέτες ντομάτα

barbeque sauce - μπάρμπεκιου σως

onion rings - ροδέλες κρεμμυδιού

fried potatoes - τηγανητές πατάτες

Burger Buns - Ψωμάκια για burgers

First lets start from the burger buns recipe. I was looking for a long time to find the perfect one and thank god i found it! I always choose this recipe for buns because it's an easy success.

Πρώτα ας ξεκινήσουμε με την συνταγή για τα ψωμάκια. Έψαχνα πολλές συνταγές για να βρω την καλύτερη και την πέτυχα. Την φτιάχνω πάντα με μεγάλη επιτυχία οπότε σημαίνει πολύ καλή συνταγή για μένα!!!

The recipe is for 8 big burger buns and you'll need:

Η συνταγή είναι για 8 μεγάλα burger ψωμάκια και θα χρειαστείτε:

2 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast - 1 πακέτο ξερή μαγιά

1 cup warm water not very hot or very cold - 225ml ζεστό νερό όχι καυτό γιατί θα χαλάσει η μαγιά

1 big egg - 1 μεγάλο αυγό

3 tablespoons butter - 3 κουταλιές της σούπας ή 45γρ. βούτυρο

3 tablespoons sugar - 3 κουταλιές της σούπας ή 45γρ. ζάχαρη

1 1/4 teaspoons salt - 1 μικρό κουταλάκι αλάτι

3 1/2 cups flour for all purposes - 437.5 γρ. αλεύρι για όλες τις χρήσεις

(1/2 cup from the floour will go with the dry yeast and water - Tα 70γρ. από το αλεύρι θα μπούνε με την μαγιά και το νερό και το υπόλοιπο μετά)

For the baking:

Για το ψήσιμο:

1 tbsp with 1 egg bitten - 1 αυγό χτυπημένο με 1 κουταλιά της σούπας γάλα

sesame - σουσάμι

Bake at 190 C - 375 degrees F. for 15-17 min - Ψήνετε στους 190 C βαθμούς για 15-17 λεπτά

Burgers - Μπιφτέκια για burger

After the burger buns is the time to make the burgers. The recipe is for 2 big burgers. If you want to make more just double the recipe as many times you want.

Αφού φτιάξετε τα ψωμάκια σειρά έχουν τα μπιφτέκια. Η συνταγή είναι για 2 τεράστια μπιφτέκια δηλαδή για 2 μεγάλα burger. Αν θέλετε να κάνετε παραπάνω ψωμάκια burgers τότε πολλαπλασιάστε την συνταγή όσες φορές θέλετε.

For 2 big burgers you'll need:

Για 2 μεγάλα μπιφτέκια λοιπόν θα χρειαστείτε:

500gr of minced beef or half beef/half pork (if you have less it's ok you just have smaller burgers) - 500γρ. κιμά (και λίγο λιγότερο κιμά αν έχετε φτάνει) ανάμεικτο ή μοσχαρίσιο

1 egg - 1 αυγό

3 tbsp mustard - 3 κουταλιές της σούπας μουστάρδα

1-2 tbsp barbeque sauce - 1-2 κουταλιές της σούπας μπάρμπεκιου σως

salt, pepper, cumin, oregano, paprika - αλάτι, πιπέρι, κύμινο, ρίγανη,πάπρικα (και ότι μπαχαρικό θέλετε εσείς)

breadcrumbs as much needed so you can shape the burgers - τριμμένη φρυγανιά όσο χρειάζεστε για να πλάθονται τα μπιφτέκια σας

You mix everything togerther but not for too long because the meat will be tough. You shape them depended on the size you want youw burgers. It would be best to leave the burger chill a little before you bake them.

Τα ανακατεύετε όλα μαζί όχι για πολύ ώρα μην σφίξει ο κιμάς. Τα φτιάχνετε σε μεγάλα μπιφτέκια αλλά να είναι ανάλογα με το μέγεθος από τα ψωμάκια σας. Καλό θα ήταν να τα αφήσετε λίγα λεπτά να ενωθούν τα υλικά αλλά αν βιάζεστε μπορείτε να τα ψήσετε κατευθείαν.

After you bake them and while they are still warm place the cheddar on top to melt.

Αφού τα ψήσετε και όσο ακόμη είναι ζεστά βάλτε το cheddar από πάνω να λιώσει.

Onion rings – Ροδέλες κρεμμυδιού

Onion rings are oniond fried with a simple flour mix that makes them delicious.

Οι ροδέλες κρεμμυδιού είναι το κρεμμύδι τηγανισμένο σε ένα απλό χυλό που τα κάνει πεντανόστιμα.

You'll need:

Θα χρειαστείτε:

1 big onion cut in circles (not too thick and not too thin otherwise it'll be uncooked) - 1 κρεμμύδι μεγάλο κομμένο σε ροδέλες (όχι πολύ χοντρές αλλά όχι και πολύ λεπτές γιατί σε θα προλάβει αλλιώς να ψηθεί)

1 cup flour - 1 κούπα αλεύρι

half cup milk - μισή κούπα γάλα

salt, pepper, oregano, paprika - αλάτι, πιπέρι, ρίγανη, πάπρικα

1 tbsp barbeque sauce - 1 κουταλιά της σούπας μπάρμπεκιου σώς

and water depending on how much it needs to become a slightly thick batter - και νερό με το μάτι μέχρι να γίνει ένας λίγο πηκτός χυλός

Dip the onion circles into the batter and fry on medium until they are gold and brown. Ready!!!

Βουτάτε τις ροδέλες στο χυλό και τηγανίζετε σε μέτρια με δυνατή φωτιά μέχρι να πάρουν ένα χρυσαφί χρώμα. Έτοιμα!!!!

When the potatoes are ready it'll be the time for the construction of the burgers!

Αφού τηγανίσετε και τις πατάτες σας ήρθε η μεγάλη ώρα για την συναρμολόγηση!

Cut the buns in half. Put a little bbq sauce on both sides. Place the lettuce and then on top the tomato slice (it helps so the bun doesn't soak the tomato juices). Next place the burger with the melted cheddar. On top of the burger-cheddar goes the bacon slice(or slices) and the last but not least the bun top. Serve with the potatoes and the onion rings. Enjoy!!!

Κόψτε το ψωμάκι στη μέση. Βάλτε λίγη μπάρμπεκιου σως και στα 2 μέρη από το ψωμάκι. Βάλτε το μαρούλι και μετά από πάνω την ντομάτα (βοηθάει στο να μη διαλυθεί το ψωμάκι από τα υγρά της ντομάτας). Στη συνέχεια το μπιφτέκι με το λιωμένο cheddar. Πάνω από το μπιφτέκι το μπέικον και μετά στο πάνω μέρος από το ψωμάκι. Σερβίρετε με πατάτες και Onion rings. Καλή σας όρεξη!!!

Καλώς ήρθατε σε ακόμη ένα lookbook !

Αυτήν την φορά το πόστ έχει να κάνει για γυναίκες με καμπύλες και μερικά κιλάκια παραπάνω .
Όταν έχεις κάποια κιλά παραπάνω δεν σημαίνει απαραίτητα ότι δεν μπορείς να ντύνεσαι μοντέρνα, να φοράς ότι ρούχα θέλεις και να δείχνεις στιλάτη . Αρκεί να βρεις αυτά που σου ταιριάζουν και είναι για το σωματότυπο σου και να σε κολακεύουν.
